justin headrick terrific collection. the last track was an unexpected surprise & quite enjoyable as well. I like the heavy dark meditative moods of the first two tracks the most however. Favorite track: Cyclical Sun God I.

about

This recording was pulled from a stereo audio cassette. There has been some aging and a few black holes along the process and storage of these sessions. Which are well over 25 years old. This Recording was recorded at NSL Denver in about 1995/96 by R. Saringer, A. Dodge, and C. Turner. This was recorded on primitive equipment by today's standards. Post-Production was added at Lens Bunker, Chicago in 2023. The original recording is from an archive of close to 200 recordings Nookleptia made while in Denver.

This particular recording is comprised of several “Braps” played in some small room. Alex was delivering the beat from a floor tom. Ruth would have been providing the atmospheric sounds and manipulating various gadgets, Christopher was playing the SW Radio and mixing console.

Some studio mixing and manipulating of the original session were added to the original recording to give a better flow to the sound sculpture. Also, to give the listener an audio universe in which to travel to other regions of consciousness. This recording has reached a logical end. It is the “now” that gives these Archive Recordings life, gives them light, opening thee process up to the listener. Cyclical rhythms placed in a wash of sonic space. Industrial Musick from ’90’s Denver Industrial underground.

Track 1-2 are from the original source material

Track 3 is a manipulation and reworking of tracks 1-2 with snippets and outtakes that were cut from the tracks. Furthering the “Cut-up” experimentation and ideas of the Gysin/Burroughs technique.

Track 4: Bonus Track from a singled out recording experimentation and collage werks. Recorded on a Tascam Portastudio 414 4-Track Cassette Recorder. The bulk of the work for this track was Alex Dodge. The rest of the band played to the prerecorded collage via 4-track. This track is more than likely from mid to late 1995. Dr. MD is Dr. Micheal Dean aka Sandy Berman the Singing Hypnotist. Dr. MD makes occasional appearances on other Archive recordings and is a Long Term Personal Savior of the band.
