This is album was taken from stereo cassette recordings from 1997. The first four tracks were originally recorded on a TASCAM Portastudio 414 4-Track recorder. Then, mixed down to a Sony Stereo Cassette Deck. We have done our best to clean and improve the sound quality of these recordings. The latter half of this release is taken from a live performance that took place in April of 1997, in Denver. It was recorded from the mixing console straight to cassette tape. It is about the process and archiving purposes that we make these available to the masses.

This release really showcases a very interesting aspect of our creative output. It features songs and structure. These tracks are closer to Industrial music than noise. As Nookleptia was capable of broad spectrum of musical styles at this point in time. Here are some of Alex's ideas bookmarked between solid Industrial pieces of work. It shows off our efforts in not limiting our creative output. And that we sometimes like to do pieces that are fun, at times absurd, and yet strangely a part of the group.

The live portion of this release takes the listener into the chaotic, improvised, and often very strange moments of Nookleptia's early performances. Much like the first part of this release. The live material shows a broad spectrum of musical influence and direction. This performance certainly was recorded around the same time as the studio tracks in 1997. There certainly is some sound quality issues as this archive was recorded on primitive equipment by today's standards.
